Imlil & Toubkal
Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa…
Morning departure to reach the village of Imlil which is located at70 km from Marrakech and which is close to Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Imlil village is the starting point for treks to the summit of Toubkal. On Saturdays you can visit the Asni Berber market, walk up to the kasbah and explore the surrounding trails. Imlil is a pleasant destination to cool off from Marrakesh’s heat and dusty, bustling streets. In October, when the whole valley smells of apples and clear skies and sunshine dominate, trekking is a particularly enjoyable way to spend a day. There are numerous places to stop for lunch or buy walnuts and apples for your day trek. The snow and cold from December to February make this destination less attractive, but the rest of the year a treat and retreat.
Lunch is to be enjoyed either in a local house or in a Restaurant. In late afternoon, we continue the trip back to Marrakech.
